RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank’s Wilmington Market President Sabrina Sells was named an “Influencer” in the Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s WimingtonBiz100, announced Amanda Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer.

The WilmingtonBiz 100 is an annual list of top Power Players, Influencers, Innovators, Connectors and Rising Stars impacting Southeastern North Carolina’s business landscape. Sells shared, “It is an honor to be considered a peer in this group of accomplished professionals. Growth in New Hanover county is at its best when we build on each other’s efforts and successes. This list reflects that spirit of community.”

“We are delighted, but not surprised, to see Sabrina named to the WilmingtonBiz 100,” shared Lloyd. “She’s a rock star, both within our company and the community.”

Sells joined North State when the company opened its Wilmington office in 2008, starting as a commercial lender and swiftly being promoted to lead its regional efforts as market president. She serves as board chair for Wilmington Business Development and is a long-time volunteer and supporter of the Cape Fear Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where she currently serves on the Executive Board and as vice chairman for both the annual golf tournament and leadership luncheon. In 2017, she was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service. Sells has published two novels, “Banker’s Trust” and “Canned Good.”
