RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank promoted Kyle Smith to commercial banker for its North Raleigh office, announced Amanda Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer. In this role, Kyle will partner with businesses to provide comprehensive banking solutions to help support and grow their organizations.

“Kyle has been an asset to the Bank and our customers since his first day,” shared Lloyd. “He looks for creative ways to go beyond expectations for customers, his coworkers and the Bank. This is a much-deserved promotion, and we look forward to seeing Kyle achieve even more in the years to come.”

Smith joined North State in 2018, following positions at Capital Bank and BB&T (now Truist). A native North Carolinian, he grew up in Concord and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He’s an active member of the North Carolina Chinese Business Association.

“I am ready and excited for this opportunity,” commented Smith. “Over the years, my passion for banking has only grown. I see my role as part building block and part catalyst. First, I work with customers to make sure they have the banking solutions they need, then I look for ways to align them with resources to achieve their definition of success. Sometimes that is a financial product and sometimes it’s a connection or resource outside of banking.”
