RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank promoted Heather Sirgany to senior vice president and chief mortgage sales officer, announced Amanda Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer. Sirgany will direct the Bank’s efforts to grow its already substantial mortgage loan volume.

“Heather has been a critical part of our mortgage leadership for a number of years and this promotion is a reflection of her talent, ability and success,” shared Lloyd. “For over a decade, North State has been a leader in providing local mortgage financing at a high service level and we look forward to seeing continued growth under her direction.”

Sirgany has worked in mortgage lending for 20 years, holding positions at TowneBank Mortgage, SunTrust (now Truist), Harrington Bank and RBC Bank before joining North State. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in finance from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and she is a graduate of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Durham program. Sirgany shares her time and expertise as a volunteer with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association as a swimming official, as well as with PORCH and the United Way.

“A high-performing mortgage division is built on the strength of the team,” said Sirgany. “We have competitive products and are a nationwide leader in technology, but the backbone of North State’s mortgage lending success is our team, both customer-facing and behind-the-scenes. Wake and New Hanover counties have thriving mortgage lending opportunities and I look forward to leading North State Bank’s efforts to meet those needs both in the short- and long-term.”
