RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank (the “Bank”) recently promoted three bank officers, announced Amanda M. Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer, including Sondra Collins, Sean Nock and Harryson Turner.

Mortgage Community Outreach Officer Sondra Collins was named Senior Vice President. Collins joined the Bank in 2005 and currently leads North State’s efforts to help educate and empower individuals and families in our community on their path to homeownership. She is chair of the City of Raleigh Fair Housing Hearing Board and is a member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, a board member of the North Carolina Project Lead, Inc., and the assistant to the regional vice president of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (Triangle Chapter). Collins is active in many community organizations, including Countywide Community Development Corporation’s Celebrating the Dream, the White Oak Foundation Resource Center, Saint Augustine University’s Community Development Corporation, SAFEchild of Wake County and Family Promise of Wake County. Since 2007, she has served as the auction and raffle committee chair for North State Bank’s Summer Salute for Transitions LifeCare. She is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Emerging Markets Mortgage Loan Officer Sean Nock was named Vice President. A veteran mortgage lender, Nock joined the Bank in 2013. He leads North State’s Southeast Raleigh office, with a special focus on working with first-time borrowers in underserved communities who benefit from additional support during the homebuying process. An alumnus of Liberty University, he is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and serves on the board of directors of the Raleigh Area Development Authority. Nock is a member of the Wake Forest/Rolesville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, currently in the position of polemarch.

Commercial Banker Harryson Turner was named Vice President. Turner joined the Bank earlier this year at the Downtown Raleigh office. He works with North State’s business customers to ensure they have banking solutions that best meet their needs, in addition to business development. Turner is a graduate of Liberty University and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Raleigh, the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and the Raleigh Young Professional Network. He volunteers his time at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.
