RALEIGH, N.C. . . . North State Bank (the “Bank”) has named Donald “Don” Borowski as a commercial loan portfolio manager for the Wake Forest office announced Amanda Lloyd, executive vice president and chief people officer. In this role, Borowski will work closely with borrowers and commercial bankers to support lending needs.

“The town of Wake Forest has long had a great business climate and it is only improving,” commented Lloyd. “Don is experienced in working with companies—from start-ups to those who have decades in the rearview—to find the right lending solutions for their business models. We’re pleased to welcome him to the North State team.”

Borowski recently relocated to the Triangle from the Midwest where he worked in lending positions for 36 years. Most recently, he served as vice president of commercial lending for First Secure Bank & Trust, following positions at Midland States Bank, Morris Building & Loan (a branch of Harvard Savings Bank), and Marquette Bank. A Chicago native, he studied at schools in Illinois, including Lewis University where he earned a Master in Business Administration and Illinois State University where he completed his undergraduate studies.

“Community banks are a reliable and integral partner for small businesses,” commented Borowski. “Wake Forest has a reputation for being a friendly, thriving community and I look forward to being part of it.”
