Garner, N.C. - North State Bank vice president and Garner market executive Chris Bruffey announced that Beverly Southerland has been named assistant vice president and office manager for North State Bank's Garner office.
"Beverly's strong customer service skills coupled with her extensive banking experience in the Garner market make her a perfect fit for our office," said Bruffey. "I am excited to have her join our team and know that she will help our office succeed."
Southerland has over 19 years of banking experience and came to North State Bank from
Sun Trust Bank in Garner, where she served as assistant vice president and branch manager. She is actively involved in the community, where she serves as treasurer, trustee and choir member for Wilson's Mills Baptist Church. She is also a member of the Garner Mid-Day Rotary Club. Southerland and her husband, Tony, live in Clayton and have three grown children and three grandchildren.
Founded in 2000, North State is a full-service community bank, serving Wake County through five full-service offices and New Hanover County through one loan production office. Plans are being developed for a full-service office to be located at 16 W. Martin Street, Raleigh, NC, where a lease has been signed.
