Raleigh, N.C. - Andrew T. Wheeler, Jr. has been named office manager for the North State Bank office at the new North Hills, scheduled to open in early 2005, announced Larry D. Barbour, president and CEO for North State.
"Andrew has been a great asset to our team," said Barbour. "He offers both financial and supervisory expertise and will be a strong leader in our new office."
Wheeler has quickly moved through the ranks at North State Bank, beginning as a teller, advancing to teller supervisor, and then moving to loan operations. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management. Wheeler is a committee member for the North State Bank's Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County and is a member of the County Planning Committee. A native of Wilson, North Carolina, Wheeler lives in Raleigh.
North State Bank is a community bank serving Wake County with four offices: full-service offices on Falls of Neuse in Raleigh, Highway 70 West in Garner, and Blue Ridge Road across from Rex Hospital, and a loan production office in the Wakefield Corporate Center. Current plans call for a corporate headquarters and full-service location at the new North Hills on Six Forks Road in Raleigh. As of June 30, 2004, North State Bancorp reported total assets of $284.6 million.
