WHEELER NAMED ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR NORTH STATE BANK

Raleigh, N.C. - North State Bank senior vice president and West Raleigh market executive Lu Ann Herring announced that Andrew Wheeler has been named assistant vice president for North State Bank.

"Andrew been given many different responsibilities in his time here at North State Bank," said Herring. "He has risen to the occasion and proven himself to be a successful banker. We are pleased he is part of our team, and I look forward to seeing him grow even more."

Wheeler joined North State Bank in 2003. He has served in various roles such as teller, office manager and commercial lender. He is a native of Wilson, North Carolina, and holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from North Carolina State University. Wheeler is an active member of the Raleigh Host Lions Club and also serves on the planning committee for North State Bank's Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County.

Founded in 2000, North State is a full-service community bank, serving Wake County through five full-services offices and New Hanover County through one loan production office. Plans are being developed for a full-service office to be located at 16 W. Martin Street, Raleigh, NC, where a lease has been signed.
