NORTH STATE BANK PROMOTES WILKINS AND WHEELER

Experienced bankers to serve as banking office manager and construction lending officer.

Raleigh, N.C. - North State Bank has promoted Allison Wilkins to vice president and office manager at its headquarters office at North Hills, and North State Bank has promoted Andrew Wheeler to construction lending officer, announced Larry D. Barbour, president and CEO of North State.


"Allison and Andrew have proven themselves to be good bankers who understand how North State Bank does business," Barbour said. "Because of that, we are pleased to make these promotions and look forward to positive results from them in their new roles."

Wilkins has been with North State Bank since December 2001, previously serving as office manager and assistant vice president for the Garner office. She has been in the banking industry for 17 years. Prior to joining North State, she served as a branch manager for First South Bank and as a loan assistant and branch manager for the former Triangle Bank (now RBC Centura). A native of Richlands, NC, Allison graduated from Douglas Byrd Senior High School in Fayetteville. She is involved in the community as a volunteer for the Garner Educational Foundation.

Wheeler joined North State in September 2003, serving as banking office manager at the North Hills office. In his new role, he will build relationships with developers, contractors and builders. He is a member of the Raleigh Host Lions Club and serves on the planning committee for Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County . Andrew received his Bachelor's of Science in Business Management from North Carolina State University. A native of Wilson, NC, he lives in Raleigh.
