Deposit Services for Businesses
SMALL BUSINESS CHECKING
Designed for businesses that have no more than 100 checks, deposits or items deposited per month, Small Business Checking requires only a minimum daily balance of $2,500 to avoid regular monthly service charges. If the minimum balance requirement is not met, the regular monthly service fee on this account is $10. The per-item charge for more than 100 items is $.35 each. Open this account with only $100.
COMMERCIAL ANALYSIS
As businesses grow, have larger balances and an increased number of checking account transactions, their financial needs change. Many businesses find that Commercial Analysis Checking meets their needs. An earnings credit is applied to the balance in the account, and if the credit is large enough, it will offset charges that may occur on the account. If not, the difference is charged to the account. The regular monthly service fee for Commercial Analysis accounts is $14. See a North State Bank service representative for information on other service fees that may be assessed.
COMMERCIAL ANALYSIS - SWEEP
Businesses may want to explore adding the sweep feature to their Commercial Analysis account. This feature allows businesses to earn interest on their excess cash balances. Check with a North State Banker to see if this option will work for you.
BUSINESS INTEREST CHECKING
Sole proprietorships and eligible nonprofit organizations may be able to take advantage of Business Interest Checking. For a low monthly service fee of $12, you or your organization will be able to earn interest on your checking funds. There is no minimum balance requirement, and personal interest checking account rates apply to this account. See a North State Bank service representative for information on other service fees that may be assessed. This account can be opened with only $100.
COMMERCIAL MONEY MARKET
Your business will earn a competitive interest rate on its money market funds at North State Bank. On balances of $1,000 and over, interest is paid based on tiered balances, the more you save - the more you earn. By law, the number and type of transactions on money market accounts are limited. Open this account with $1,000. Maintain a $1,000 minimum balance and there is no regular monthly service fee on this account. If your balance drops below $1,000, a service fee of $6 will be assessed.
COMMUNITY CHECKING
Not-for-profit organizations, whether large or small, sometimes have special needs with regards to their financial accounts. In particular, they may need a low minimum balance requirement, no-fee account to keep costs to a minimum. Because of our interest in helping these organizations, North State Bank created the Community Checking Account. Open this account with only $100 and maintain a minimum daily balance of only $500 and you will not be assessed a regular monthly service charge. If you drop below the minimum, the fee is $10, and the per-item charge for items over 100 per statement cycle is $.35.
IOLTA - INTEREST ON LAWYERS' TRUST ACCOUNT CHECKING
We are pleased to assist attorneys in participating in the IOLTA program set up by the North Carolina State Bar. This program invests clients' commingled long or short-term funds in an interest-bearing checking account. North State Bank forwards interest earned on this account, less service charges, to the North Carolina State Bar for use in public interest projects, such as legal services for the needy. This account is for lawyers and law firms only. Interest Checking rates apply. The regular monthly service fee is $10.
