Helen Ballentine serves North State Bank as senior vice president and market executive in our West Raleigh market. She has 23 years of banking experience, holding positions with Nations Credit Financial Services and, most recently, as senior vice president and client manager for Bank of America. She has volunteered for the Cumberland County Partnership for Children and independently works to find homes for abandoned pets. Helen attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC.

Jeff Billingsley serves North State Bank as a senior vice president and market executive. He has more than ten years of experience in the banking industry, including recent positions as a commercial banker and small business banker. A graduate of Fayetteville State University, he is actively involved in the community, serving as chairman of the Ten-Year Action Plan to End Homelessness in Wake County. Jeff is also a member of the Fayetteville State University Mentoring Program. He is currently attending the UNC School of Banking.

Chris Bruffey serves North State Bank as senior vice president and market executive. A Garner native, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science in business administration. He served the Garner area for six years as a branch manager, small business banker, and city executive for Wachovia. Active in the community, Chris is past president of the Garner Chamber of Commerce, past-president and secretary of the Garner Rotary Club, and a member of the Aversboro Road Baptist Church.

Jonathan Hand serves North State Bank as senior vice president and market executive. He has more than 12 years of banking experience, holding positions such as market president, middle market client manager, and relationship manager. Jonathan is active in the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce and serves on the YMCA Board of Directors. He has been involved as treasurer for the downtown Kinston revitalization team as well as various economic development organizations throughout eastern North Carolina. A graduate of East Carolina University, he holds a bachelor's degree in finance. He is currently attending the UNC School of Banking.

Sabrina Stephens serves North State Bank as a senior vice president and market executive. She has more than 19 years of North Carolina banking experience in the Wilmington area. Sabrina’s previous experience includes serving as a senior vice president and commercial banking officer at New Bridge Bank and as a vice president and business services officer at BB&T. Sabrina holds a degree from Appalachian State University and enjoys being an active member of the Wilmington community. She is a board member for the American Red Cross Cape Fear Chapter in addition to volunteering for United Way and the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Sabrina also serves on the finance and building committees at Grace United Methodist Church and was the former president of the board for the Wilmington Children’s Museum. |

Brian Summers serves North State Bank as vice president and market executive. His prior experience covers nearly a decade with Bank of America in positions such as franchise business development manager and client manager for business banking. He is a native of Raleigh and holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from North Carolina State University. Brian is currently attending the UNC School of Banking. He serves as a board member for the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs division as well as Kids Voting North Carolina. Brian has been recently named a candidate for Leadership Raleigh 2008. |

Andrew Wheeler serves our Morehead City office as vice president and market executive. Prior to relocating to Morehead City, Andrew held various positions of progressive responsibility, most recently a Commercial Banker for our West Raleigh office. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management and is currently attending the UNC School of Banking. He remains active in the community through the Raleigh Host Lion's Club and as a committee member for the North State Bank Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County.

Gary Woodlief serves North State Bank as senior vice president and senior market executive. He played an integral role in laying the foundation for our Wake Forest office. A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in finance, his banking career of more than 17 years has primarily been in the Wake Country/Triangle area. Gary serves on the Board of Directors for the Risk Management Association, the advisory board for the Alexander Family YMCA and the Champions Group for the Wake Med Foundation. He previously volunteered in the Education First Program at Lockhart Elementary and has served on the board of directors for the Knightdale Chamber, East Wake Alliance and the Banks Kerr Family YMCA. |
