Ronnie Burbank

Ronnie serves North State Bank as vice president and commercial banker for our Wilmington office. Previously, he served as vice president and commercial lender for Coastal Federal Bank in Wilmington. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he received a bachelor of arts in political science. He is also a graduate of the School of Banking at Louisiana State University. An active member of the Wilmington community, Ronnie serves as president and board member of Wilmington Downtown, Inc. He also serves on the board of the Brooklyn Arts Center and is a member of the Wilmington Civitan Club.

Barbara Doolittle

Barbara Doolittle serves North State Bank as vice president and commercial banker in our North Raleigh market. Her experience in the banking industry spans more than 30 years, with positions ranging from teller and customer service representative to branch manager and commercial lending officer. Barbara graduated from the North Carolina School of Banking and has been a longtime member of the North Raleigh Civitan Club.

Phillip Frye

Phillip Frye serves North State Bank's North Raleigh office as assistant vice president and business development officer. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, he joined North State bank as a teller supervisor and has since been consistently promoted for his contributions to the bank. He volunteers in Wake County with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. He is also a board member for the National Students of Ailing Mothers and Fathers Support Group. Phillip is currently attending the UNC School of Banking.

Brian serves North State Bank as vice president and commercial banker in our Garner office. He came to North State Bank from Stock Building Supply, where he served as a senior construction loan officer. He holds a B.A. in accounting from Liberty University and is a certified public accountant. He is currently enrolled in the Risk Management Association's Commercial Lending School.

Sharon Moe serves North State Bank as assistant vice president and commercial banker for our North Hills office. She has experience in positions such as branch manager, senior credit portfolio analyst and commercial lender. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies from The College of William and Mary. From there she went on to study at NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business where she earned her MBA in Finance.

Matt serves our downtown Raleigh market as a commercial banker. He has several years of banking experience in positions such as associate client manager, business banker, and banking center manager. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Matt gives back to his community by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the Tammy Lynn Center, and Meals on Wheels of Wake County. He is currently enrolled in the UNC School of Banking.

Robert D. "Bobby" Ross

Bobby Ross serves North State Bank as senior vice president and commercial banker for the bank's flagship North Raleigh office. He has 30 years of banking experience in North Carolina, holding positions with Bank of America, and most recently, as senior vice president and Raleigh city executive for First South Bank. He is a past president and campaign chairman for the Edgecombe County United Way, a past president of the Tarboro Area Chamber of Commerce, board member for Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR) and a past board member for Education Financing Services, LLC. Bobby was also named the 2006 TCAR Associate of the year. A native of Mint Hill, NC, Bobby received both his undergraduate degree in accounting and his MBA from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

Judy Stephenson

Judy Stephenson joined North State in November 1999 when it was proposed as a new financial services institution. She has more than 40 years of banking experience in North Carolina, starting her career with People's Bank and Trust and subsequently working with Central Carolina Bank, Southern National Bank and Triangle Bank. Judy is a member of the board of directors for the Garner Rotary Club and serves on the membership committee for the Garner Chamber of Commerce. She is an active member of the planning committee for the North State Bank Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County. Judy was appointed by Governor James B. Hunt to serve on the North Carolina State Personnel Commission for four years, the North Carolina Building Authority for six years, and the North Carolina Student Loan Program for two years. She is a graduate of Wilson Technical College, the North Carolina School of Banking at Chapel Hill management program, and the National School of Commercial Lending at the University of Oklahoma.

Craig Swinson serves North State Bank as vice president and business development officer. He has more than 16 years of banking experience in positions such as branch manager, commercial banker, and business development officer. Craig graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and later from the First Citizen's Bank Management School. Craig actively serves the community as an Executive Board Member for Delta Dental Plan of North Carolina and is a member of Providence Baptist Church. He has also served as a member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club.
